N. NagarajaAbstractWe consider the problem of assessing agreement between two instruments and test whether the normally distributed bivariate data have evidence to claim satisfactory agreement. We focus on a comprehensive intersection-union formulation of the hypotheses of agreement. Confidence intervals associated with this approach provide information regarding the extent of agreement and nature of disagreement. We illustrate the suggested methodology using a dataset from the literature. (© 2005 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
