- Abstract
This article examines how the decision making process works in organizations. The authors note that strategic decisions play a significant role in the functioning of organizations and can also have impacts the extend to society at large. Due to the far reaching effects of organizational decisions, the authors note that it is important to understand how these decisions come about. They examine some of the most common decision making processes used by organizations as well as pervious research that has attempted to analyze them. They attempt to bring order to the large amount of research that has taken place and develop an explanation for the decision making behavior of organizations.
