Summarizes the results of the 1995-2001 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) surveys of the U. S. Center for Disease Control & Prevention that track population trends, identify health disparities and monitor progress in achieving national health objectives for 2010 using health-related quality of life (HRQOL) data. Background of the BRFSS; Factors that partially explain the HRQOL disparities in low-income persons aged 45-64 years; Method in determining which demographic and personal characteristics among low-income persons aged 45-64 years were associated with unhealthy days most strongly.
