- Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the modellearning Team Games Tournament (TGT) on improving reading skills (maharah al-qiro'ah) Arabic class V MI Darul Jannah Caringin Bogor. The method used in this research is using the research method pre experiment one group pretest-posttest, data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests in the form pretest and posttest. The results of this study have value pretest with an average of (65.17), after the posttest and data analysis on the results of the normality test using the SPSS program with the normality test Kolmogrov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk stated that the data were normally distributed, and on the test results t-test namely 0.000 (0.000 <0.05), then Ho rejected and Ha accepted. This shows that the use of learning models Team Games Tournament (TGT) has an influence on improving students' reading skills, as well as based on the average value posttest (85.65) and it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on improving reading skills (maharah alqiro'ah) Arabic MI Darul Jannah Caringin Bogor.
