- Authors
David, Rachel
- Abstract
The article discuses Bacteroides fragilis (B. fragilis) which is considered to contribute on the development of TReg cells. It references the study "Inducible Foxp3+ regulatory T-cell development by a commensal bacterium of the intestinal microbiota," by J. L. Round and S. K. Mazmanian on the June 21, 2010 issue of the journal "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences." It adds that polysaccharide A (PSA) is being produced by B. fragilis for inflammation protection.
