- Abstract
The article reports on the study which examines the effects macrophages switching from classically to alternatively activated phenotype to human health. The alternative phenotype produced anti-inflammatory molecules interleukin-10 (IL-10) and tumour-necrosis factor (TNF) that promotes tumour growth and reduction of innate immunity. The nuclear factor-kb kinase ss (IKKss) inhibition can return suppressed tumour-associated macrophages to kill tumour cells and increased immunity.
