- Abstract
Small dolphins in a small sea: Age, growth and life-history aspects of the black sea common bottlenose dolphin Tursiops truncatus. Age and growth patterns of individuals are indicators of population demography and life-history traits, providing evidence of the dynamics, health, and potential responses to environmental changes (Danil & Chivers, [15]; Hohn, [26]; Huang et al., [28]). We chose the Gompertz model for further sex comparisons of TL and MG (Figure 3). 1 TABLE Growth parameters related to total length (cm) and maximum girth (cm) for common bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) from the central region of Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago, Cuba. Age distribution and growth of two bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) populations from capture-release studies in the southeastern United States.
