- Authors
Cesari, Francesca
- Abstract
The article reports that the first multi-photon time-lapse microscopy analysis of individual cell movements in living chick embryos has been provided by a group led by Claudio Stern. It mentions that Stern and his group labeled ectoderm cells and filmed them shortly after the polonaise movement started. It mentions that Stern and his group propose that the chick evolved an additional intercalation event that occurs in the ectoderm and precedes gastrulation, compared to anamniotes.
