- Abstract
The article reports on the reexamination of breast cancer trends using the National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program in the U.S. According to the study, age standardized incidence rates rose for in situ tumors but still constant on the invasive breast cancers. It further states that breast cancer is a heterogeneous with respect to clinical presentation, histopathological appearance, molecular alterations and etiologic factors.
