- Title
Alterations in the TOP2A and HER2 Genes: Association With Adjuvant Anthracycline Sensitivity in Human Breast Cancers.
- Authors
Slamon, Dennis J.; Press, Michael F.
- Abstract
The author reflects on the association of human epidermal growth factor receptor type 2 (HER2) with adjuvant anthracycline sensitivity in human breast cancers. He claims that the molecular diversity of human breast cancers is more complex and the clinical benefits from various therapeutic interventions can be affected by the molecular subtype of disease. He believes that the benefit from adjuvant therapy is restricted to the HER2-positive subgroup of human breast cancers.
