- Abstract
The article discusses findings of a randomized trial to determine the effectiveness of using a self-monitoring website in helping women at high risk for breast cancer achieve their fitness and weight loss goals. It notes that women who used the intervention web site reported a weight loss of 4.7 percent during a 6-month period. It confirms that web- and phone-based interventions can effect a modest improvement in physical activity for women at high risk for breast cancer.
