HOLLOMAN III, JOHN H.
- Abstract
The article offers a look at the history and analysis of the Judicial Reform Act in the U.S. A comprehensive study of the federal courts was announced by Senator Joseph D. Tydings on October 15, 1965. One of the proposed reforms for the federal courts was the establishment of an alternate procedure for the removal of federal judges who were found unfit by reason of physical or mental incapacity, inefficiency or corruption. The five titles that comprise the Judicial Reform Act included the establishment of a commission on judicial disabilities and tenure, retirement of judges, revision of the judicial survivor annuity program, conflicts of interest and financial disclosure and the provision of district judge representation on the circuit councils.
