- Abstract
The article focuses on the arbitration of the U.S. Federal Government contract disputes. It is forecasted that the major federal contracts would increase by 18 percent during 1952, and disputes over contract operations would increase too. It states that usually arbitration is not considered in resolution of such disputes. It discusses various U.S. Supreme Court cases which have given decisions related to the role of arbitration in government contract disputes, including Penker Construction Co. v. U.S., U.S. v. Ames, and Kihlberg v. U.S. It also offers information on the U.S. Arbitration Act, 1925 and Contract Settlement Act of 1944.
