- Abstract
The article discusses the Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code which focuses on the secured transaction and proposes to integrate the entire range of transactions in which money debt are secured by personal property in the U.S. The concept behind the Article is that security transactions should be differentiated on the basis of person whose property secures the debt and the type of property used as collateral. The collaterals are again divided according to their use like equipments, inventories and proceeds of inventories such as accounts receivables. According to the author, the code intends to totally repeal the older law and should be suspiciously examined before being accepted.
