- Authors
BATES, LINDELL T.
- Abstract
The article presents an estimate of the number of American couples who have divorced in France. The number of divorces in France have once exceeded the number of marriages in that particular year. During 1919-1927, the estimated number of American couples divorced in France increased to several hundred per year. However, since 1927, the number has reduced and in 1934, it did not exceed twenty-five. American couples who are willing to obtain divorce in France are required to show a cause of action in both French and American law.
