- Abstract
In this study, we determined the detailed composition during seasonal variation in Sibiu and Vâlcea dairy milk. Raw milk samples representative of two different farms were collected twice a month from September 2008 until August 2009. Large seasonal variation exists in the concentrations of the goat milk composition. In the farms selected two breeds of goats milk predominates, breed and race Carpathian and Alba de Banat, both distinguished between them by productivity, but also through the training and their geographical area of distribution. The research was performed to investigate the effects of seasonal variation on changing of goat milk components. A total of 360 goat milk samples were collected and examined during the four seasons. The results obtained during this study were use to monitored the average content of fat, protein, lactose, SNF and pH of local goat milk (Carpathian and Alba de Banat). These results were use to give solution to the farmers and help them to improve the goat fodder and to obtain a better goat milk composition. Because in our days the price for goat milk is paid by litter the goat farmers are trying to make new contact with the big companies and sign an payment agreement for fat content of the goat milk. The present investigation was undertaken in the Biotechnology Laboratory of Agricultural Sciences, Food Industry and Environmental Protection Faculty, Sibiu.
