- Title
IPV screening may not be effective.
- Abstract
The article presents a study which finds universal intimate partner violence (IPV) screening in medical care settings ineffective. It cites that female patients in Ontario, California were subjected to undergo screening via questionnaire for the occurrence of IPV before and after clinical intervention. The research outcomes offer insufficient evidence to support IPV screening in health care settings, and thus require further evidence for effective clinical assistance to abused women.
