- Authors
Kanno, Hanae
- Abstract
In this article the author discusses the need for secondary traumatic stress assessment in aiding social workers and health professionals who must use the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V). The author feels that supporting indirectly traumatized populations will help reduce the rate of turnover among professionals that may become jaded due to working with only victims of crime and violence.
