- Title
Bringing It All Back Home: Social Work and the Challenge of Returning Veterans.
- Authors
Wheeler, Darrell P.; Bragin, Martha
- Abstract
The article discusses the state of health care coverage in the United States for veterans and their families, particularly those returning from the Iraq War. The author argues that the current system is inadequate to support all of those returning from conflict overseas and cites many of the issues that soldiers have reported. A large percentage of the returning soldiers have indicated that they are suffering from some type of psychological ailment. The author also suggests that the system would benefit from more preventative methods of treatment.
