- Abstract
The article reports that Richard Benson, a mental health nurse and senior lecturer at the University of Glamorgan, says that the British National Health Service (NHS) is wasting significant amounts of money on training their staff on escaping from violent patients. Speaking at the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) forensic nursing conference in London in January 2010, Glamorgan suggested that the NHS trains nurses merely to comply with health and safety requirements.
