- Abstract
The article discusses the freshman academies initiative of the Queensborough Community College in New York City for student success. It notes that the community college has engaged in the Developing a Community College Roadmap project which helps it to develop the initiative designed with an assessment protocol to enhance student support. It states that the project leads to improved evidence-based decision making with increased retention and graduation rates as the expected long-term outcome.
