- Abstract
The article discusses the prevalence of family life difficulties due to a range of mental health problems in Australia. Mental health encompasses the life difficulties arising from adverse childhood experiences, life events or maladaptive family functioning such as alcohol misuse, psychoses, anxiety, and depressive disorders. The findings reveal a number of significant differences in the prevalence of family life difficulties in indigenous or non-indigenous communities.
