- Abstract
An essay on American writer Virginia Woolf's most challenging novel, "The Waves," is presented. The author calls Woolf outlandish when she describes her novel as 'abstract mystical eyeless book' and says that it remains just as hard to understand in the 21st century as it was for its earlier readers. It talks about the declarations of one of the book's characters named Louis whose vignettes on ancient Egypt often refer to coercion, violence and migration.
