- Abstract
This article discusses a surgical technique called two-stage synchronous laparoscopic surgery for colorectal liver metastasis. The procedure involves treating the future liver remnant and colon resection in the first stage, followed by portal vein embolization to induce hypertrophy in the future liver remnant and subsequent major liver laparoscopic resection in the second stage. The authors highlight that this technique is feasible and safe for young patients without comorbidities who respond well to systemic neoadjuvant treatment. The article provides a video vignette illustrating the procedure.
