- Title
PYRETHRUM: Kenya.
- Abstract
The article reports that the controversial importation of huge amounts of partially processed pyrethrum from Rwanda is linked to a plant to take over the industry in Kenya. Plans are underway to licence private processing firms to compete with the Pyrethrum Board of Kenya (PBK). PBK employees allege that the purchase of 100 metric tonnes of oleoresin is aimed at running down the local industry ahead of the licensing of private processing firms.
