Abstract
The article reports that mines ministers from diamond-producing countries in Central Africa have adopted a project to create a regional body to regulate the trade and movement of diamonds. The sub-regional body will be a specialized arm of the Economic Community of Central African States. The diamond-producing countries involved in the regional body are Angola, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo and Gabon.
