The article discusses the teachings of the Apostle Paul regarding the relationship of the observance of the Mosaic Law to faith in Jesus Christ, which are illustrated in the Biblical passage of Romans 1:18-3:20. Topics addressed include analysis of Paul's opening statement and restatement of his position in the text, and the structure of Paul's argument, and the controversial nature of his teachings at the time in relation to Jewish traditional continuity.
