- Title
ENDOCRINE DISRUPTORS: WHEN LESS IS MORE.
- Authors
Stein, Dan
- Abstract
The article offers information on the system of determining pesticide toxicity by using endocrine disrupting chemicals. Endocrine disruptors are chemicals that interfere with the hormonal systems in humans and wildlife at very low doses. Many pesticides are believed to be endocrine disruptors. Several damages caused by endocrine disruptors include fetal deaths, lower sperm counts and early onset puberty. Then it was found that endocrine disruptors are more active at lower doses and may not even be active at higher doses.
