- Abstract
This country report provides an overview of developments in Croatia's renewable energy policy. First, milestones in the development of the legal and regulatory framework are presented. Next, based on the recent trends and planned measures, implementation towards 2020 targets is evaluated. Based on above, main achievements and challenges are identified. It is concluded that EU accession process has been a main driver of policy reform and significantly influenced definition on policy goals and targets. However, implementing measures have not been sufficiently tailored to national context which lead to delays and incomplete implementation.
