- Abstract
This paper studies the effects of phase-to-ground faults and three phase faults on a microturbine generation system. The faults happened in the confluence of grid and microturbine generation system. We simulate the effects of these faults on the current and active and reactive powers of the system. Determining the magnitude of the fault current is the staple step to set the breakers properly and this is why we tried to study the effects of faults in this paper. The main parts of the system are: a microturbine, a permanents magnetic generator, three phase bridge rectifier and inverter. The model is developed in Matlab / Simulink.
