- Abstract
Aware of the central axis role that education plays in the new company, the Romanian school assumes its commendable training mission, through education, of the mental infrastructure of the Romanian society, in line with new requirements derived from Romania's status as a member state of the European Union and from the operation in the cont ext of globalization, and sustainable generation of a highly competitive national human resources, able to work effectively in today's and future society [1]. All these aspects make from education a national priority, where the key role of teachers is more than obvious, where the effects of the educational process are overwhelmingly given by professional skills of teachers, their degree of employment in carrying out responsibilities on educating students. Correlating this information with negative impact that the current socio-economic context exerts on the education system, we can say that the success of school units depends – now more than ever – on the motivation of teachers in these institutions. In these circumstances, we decided to study the motivational specificities of teachers in the pre-university education in Romania (with particularities of Dâmboviţa County).
