- Title
How Prophecy Critiquing Socio-Economic Injustice Transformed into Law: The Cases of the Covenant Code and Early Prophetic Texts.

- Abstract
The article examines the theological significance of divine law in the Old Testament and how prophetic criticism of socio-economic injustice was transformed into laws. It argues that the theological interpretation of the laws in the covenant text was a response to economic inequalities in the 8th century BC. The prophetic texts of Amos, Micah, and Isaiah also criticize socio-economic injustice and demand social justice and the protection of the poor. It is noted that the Book of the Covenant and early prophetic texts address similar themes and emphasize the theological significance of the laws.
