- Abstract
The article presents a study which describes the crystal structure of stable protein CutA1 from the psychrotropic bacterium Shewanella sp. SIB1 (SIB1-CutA1) in a trimeric form at 2.7 Å resolution. The study used the genomic DNA of Shewanella sp. SIB1 and sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). Results show that the trimeric structural motif of SIB1-CutA1 resembles that of other CutA1s such as Escherichia coli (Ec-CutA1) and Pyrococcus horikoshii (Ph-CutA1).
