- Abstract
The article discusses a study which examines the sex-based arrival timing to the breeding grounds of the gray catbird, Dumetella carolinensis, and the differences in size and arrival by age. The study assesses whether catbirds are monomorphic and whether they exhibit protandry. Results suggest the existence of sexual size dimorphism in the population of older catbirds and a lack of protandry in the monochromatic specie, gray catbird.
