Keywords: hexagonal cavity; in situ growth; photochemical reaction; plasmonic nanostructures; upconversion microrod EN hexagonal cavity in situ growth photochemical reaction plasmonic nanostructures upconversion microrod 1 1 1 05/25/22 20220523 NES 220523 B Upconversion-Enabled Growth of Silver Nanostructures b In article number 2200029, Huilin He, Yan Jun Liu, and co-workers demonstrate that the upconversion emission from the hexagonal NaYF SB 4 sb microrods under the near-infrared laser excitation enables the photochemical reaction to grow the Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs). Additionally, AgNPs aggregate along the leaked sites of cavity-induced resonances inside the microrod, forming a grating-like Ag nanostructure.
