- Abstract
The West Wind of the White House, in its seven series (155 chapters), tells the experiences of the communication team (from the Press Chief to the personal secretary, communication director, or auxiliary staff...) of USA President. It uses false political situations (wars, atomic accidents, natural catastrophes) and other so real as life itself (wars, diplomatic conflicts with other global empowered countries, presidential elections, discourses over the State of the Nation. Corruption. President's illnesses, the discovery of federal secrets, love affairs in the White House...) The scripts, the roles, the spectacular dialogues, and the truth of the many situations it displays, and also the strategies and techniques by presidential team to disclosure their messages make this film the ideal medium to analyze the politics of institutional communication with the help of the schema proposed years ago by R.E. Hiebert.
