- Abstract
A generalized Fourier series method is designed to approximate the solution of the Neumann problem in a finite domain and in an infinite domain with a hole, for the mathematical model of bending of elastic plates with transverse shear deformation. The results in the two cases are compared and contrasted, and the analysis is illustrated by examples with specific boundary conditions.
