The article offers information on the grave of Charles, son of the Jewish George and Helena Brownstein of Red Bluff, California. It states that Charles was born on April 6, 1864 and died on December 14, 1864. It mentions that the grave site where Charles Brownstein was buried became a historical landmark on the north side of State Highway 299W and it consists of a granite headstone surrounded by a wrought iron fence. It notes that the grave of Charles serves as a lone reminder of the Brownstein family in Northern California. Presently, the original gravestone is stored at the Redding Museum and Art Center.
