The article examine the laws concerning disability rights at the end of life in the U.S. Topics discussed include Oregon's Death with Dignity Act; end-of-life options available to dying patients; need of legislation to create an affirmative permission for aid in dying; viability of tort claims for wrongful prolongation of life; and use of palliative care for people with serious illnesses.
