- Abstract
The article discusses community residences and the efforts to build sustainable and inclusive communities through New York's ant-discrimination Padavan Law as of 2015, and it mentions how the New York statute furthers the goals of a New Urbanism movement. Social justice and group homes for marginalized individuals such as the developmentally disabled are mentioned, along with deinstitutionalization and the U.S. Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act and Americans with Disabilities Act.
