The article explores the idea that public health is patently limited by intellectual property protection or patent rights in the context of developing countries. Topics discussed are correlation between sustainable access and intellectual property, intellectual property standard and public health requirements, effect of patent owners' rights on access of developing countries to innovations, and competing interests between patent holders and patent beneficiaries.
