- Abstract
Results of computer simulations are presented for the variability of the space-frequency interference pattern of a noise signal in the shadow and convergence zones in a deep ocean. The calculations are performed for a varying source-receiver distance under the conditions of stable hydrological characteristics and for a fixed distance under varying hydrological characteristics corresponding to the passage of an internal wave. The calculated interference structure of the signal power spectrum is compared with experimental results obtained in the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands.
