- Abstract
The article discusses a study done at Colorado State University that researched the attitudes toward and use of electronic books, or e-books, by graduate students and instructors. According to the article, student preferences of e-books versus printed texts varies depending on field of study. Reported positive aspects of e-books include availability, convenience, and research ease. Negative aspects covered include eyestrain, discomfort, and the need for stable Internet access. Other topics discussed in the article include patron-driven library acquisitions, the use of books versus academic journals, and how students and teachers learn about books.
