- Abstract
An essay is presented which addresses the U.S. Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), health care reform, and the efforts to lower health care costs in America as of 2017. Health insurance affordability in the U.S. is addressed, along with insurance coverage costs for lower and moderate income Americans. Medicaid insurance eligibility expansions and reductions in the number of uninsured people in America are assessed, along with insurance premiums and cost-sharing.
