- Abstract
This article, titled "Artery of Percheron Stroke," discusses a case study of a 65-year-old woman with various medical conditions who presented with dysarthria. Initially, her tests showed no signs of stroke, but two days later, she became unresponsive and was diagnosed with occlusion of the artery of Percheron (AOP). The AOP is a rare anatomical variant that can cause severe neurological deficits. The article emphasizes the importance of recognizing the classic triad of symptoms associated with AOP occlusion, which includes decreased consciousness, amnesia, and vertical gaze palsy, in order to promptly diagnose and treat this condition. The authors of the article contributed to the study's conception, design, data analysis, and drafting of the text. No conflicts of interest were reported.
