- Abstract
The article offers a socio-historical critique of various levels of musical activity within the Iranian community and its music in Los Angeles, California. It is stated that the Iranian music has grown extensively since the 1979 Revolution in the form of media, recording, marketing, and performances. The inquiry focuses on the issues related to song text, Iranian politics, nationalism, musical instruction, concert tours, local Iranian music industry, and musical philosophy.
