- Abstract
Information regarding the history of the Robbins family of Lexington, Massachusetts between 1775 and 1825 is presented. The family was active as furriers and merchants and included parents Abigail Winship Robbins (1759-1850) and Stephen Robbins(1758-1847), and their children Eli Robbins (1786-1856), Hannah Simonds (1786-1864), Lot Robbins (1790-1873), and Caira Robbins (1794-1881). Information about the family business taken from business records is examined. The article also provides images of the family's dress and clothing, taken from collection donated to the the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts.
