- Abstract
The article discusses a study on losing weight by eating more conducted by researchers at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in University Park, Pennsylvania. According to a study on mice, a research team led by Christopher Lynch found that levels of free amino acids in the blood increase ten times by controlling the branched chain aminotransferases (BCATm), an enzyme involved in the metabolism of leucine. Lynch stated that it is not yet determined whether supplementing leucine improves or worsens obesity.
