- Abstract
The article highlights the use of post-coding analysis to provide an innovative approach towards the construction of teacher expertise by a veteran Reading Recovery (RR) educator. Topics discussed include the concept of mangle to account for the complex intra-actions in the learning experience of RR teachers, implementation of the Model of Domain Learning (MDL) to view cognitive aspects of the development of expertise in teaching reading, and reflections of the RR teacher on her training year.
