- Abstract
The article presents the reactions of former presidents of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), to a court ruling concerning fee-based brokerage programs. Roy T. Dilberto believes that the decision was the best thing for consumers, and a great win for the financial planning profession. David B. Yeske believes that the court ruling, which overturned a regulation, was only one step in a longer battle. He believes the issue will be discusses by the U.S. Congress. Elizabeth W. Jetton notes that the FPA believed they could win the lawsuit. She also makes mention of the scandal involving Enron Corp.
